The Tower - 16 -

The Tower - 16 -

Sudden and drastic change, broken pride, upheaval

Fear of disaster or avoiding it, delaying the inevitable fall

Upright, this card doesn't necessarily mean all bad. It can just bring upon a very drastic change in life that you weren't expecting. This can be a good thing in that you receive a sudden promotion, but you must move to another city or state immediately. It may be a religious upheaval in your beliefs, or it could be as minor as a change in finances that escalates or worsens your life. This card could also be telling you that you need to let go of previous life path. Be positive, as this is meant to help you more than hinder and break the illusions that you set up. There are varying degrees, though, but it will always cause a major shift in your life one way or another.

Reversed

The tower rarely has a good situation when reversed, though I have heard some claim it means the effects are lessened. I, however, liken it to the attempted avoidance of change or the delay of it. The card is the attempted biblical Tower of Babel that was built so high it was bound to fail. It was accomplished only by those who's pride drove them and it did, straight into the dust. It's the literal in the saying "Pride comes before the fall", almost as if saying that over-achievement can be a harmful thing as well. Crisis is looming on the horizon and you find yourself struggling to stop it. What you were hoping to happen is not the outcome you'll be getting, but ultimately it is what's in your best interest. Flying so close to the sun may burn your wings, but you'll be forced to rely on your more mundane talents or to find new ways of achievement.

The Devil - 15 -

The Devil - 15-

Enslavement, Addiction, Over-Indulgence, Materialism, and Sex

Breaking Chains, Regaining Power, Overcoming, a New Path

In this deck we really don't see a "devil" in the contemporary christian way. Instead, it is a machine puppeteering it's makers to continue using it. It's meaning is that our devils are things we first make. Upright, it can mean just feeling trapped by our own devices, or feeling as if we are. In reality, we hold all of the choices and keys to the doors we are attempting to open. We only have to let our strings down enough to reach for them. You are not hopeless or helpless. You're likely always expecting the worst to happen and this fear is causing an imprisonment of failure, keeping you from fulfilling a more optimistic life. This feeling can also grows as we feed it, let it be through sex, drugs, alcohol, and other vices. Even anger can be a demon parasite taking all that you have until it is all that matters. It's all you know, feel, taste, and think of. It's what makes you wake up in the morning and not know a restful sleep without its comfort. It has chained you harshly and it will not let you stop shoveling it's coal. There are both male and female because it knows no particular type and can effect us all. In the least, it talks about the vices we are all subject to and that you should take a step back with a long, deep breathe. You're heading down the wrong way. This card can even indicate obsession to the point of danger. You need to remove yourself from whatever it is that is taking over your life and pay more attention to the aspects of. This can arise in the form of a relationship and it becoming abusive or controlling, a mental disorder, or a work project that you never leave. This is unhealthy for you and it's effecting those around you.

Reversed

In the case, the reversal is actually the better, brighter side, in my opinion. It's showing that you are indeed being controlled either by financial debt, co-dependent or abusive relationships, a dead-end career, or other more problematic issues like overindulgence to addiction. The good news is you're becoming aware of this vicious cycle and are looking for a way out. You're in a place where you're wanting to change your ways and make adjustments to improve your status in life. However, the journey forward will be a difficult one and you must be brave and willing to stay the course. This isn't saying you won't run into problems or it will just happen for you. You have to make this movement to positive habits happen. If you're not already in an addictive or other kind of controlling environment, the card is telling you to avoid those kinds of situations altogether. Pay attention to your finances and habits and keep them from taking a negative turn. Drugs are not harmless and you could easily find yourself in the hole.

Temperance - 14 -

Temperance - 14 -

Balance, guardian, patience, purpose

Imbalance, loss of long-term vision, excess, overindulgence

This card is very close to the traditional. With one foot on land, stable in the material world, and one in the water exploring the subconscious. The angel dips their toes in to test the waters of the unknown before taking a dip. They're funneling water between the cups cycling through the sub and super-consciousness. Their entire background is balanced, equal, and almost perfect, but not quite. This card represents the same in your life. You have found balance and it's calming. There's a lull in your day to day, without stress and anxiety. You have the ability to take that middle path and avoid the worst part of life. You're thankful and are taking it easy, only touching the surface of the other paths so see if they're worth jumping to. There isn't a rush to meet your goals and you feel there right there at the end of the way. You have learned so much and have experienced so many new things in life, that this is a welcomed break and a time to reflect and access. Your guardian angel is lightly pushing you in the right direction. You find it easy to "play well with others" and work towards a common goal. If there is something you are having a time to achieve, this card is here to tell you to take your time. Patience is a true virtue and moderation is key. The situation will either resolve itself or the truth will reveal itself to you.

Reversed

This is a time when we get overly excessive. We spend too much, eat too much; indulgence is a problem you're having right now. Its starting to drive a wedge in your life, though and you need to end the cycle. There is an imbalance that needs corrected. Maybe you lost sight of your goals; the glistening wants have proven more of a poor distraction than the actual prize. Take time and reevaluate. Find your way back to the beaten path and meet the true end. You're not cooperating with those around you and it's making life difficult.

Death - 13 -

Death - 13 -

Death, loss, transformation, new beginnings

Unable to let go, mourning, inability to change

In the traditional deck, death is portrayed as a skeleton in armor. In this particular deck, its not. In fact, its a beautiful angel on the back of a brown horse wielding her scythe. You'll notice she's barely looking over her shoulder in the direction of the man at a gravestone. Death is a burden to bring and this shows that while she may appear meek, she is inescapable and lies in wait. Its easy to see why this card could be such a worry to any who draw it. However, its the most misunderstood card in the deck. While death does seem final, its not. All things are reborn an made anew in death. It is a rebirth and new chance. This card usually only comes out during a major change in your life. It will feel as if everything you knew is coming to end, but there is a hand to guide you through the tunnel to the light. It can also mean that you need to transform yourself in more emotional way, but through this change there will be a great, new you, a better you. It can also mean that you need to release any negative traits or people in your life. They're wearing and tearing you down. They may even be the death of you.

Reversed

This is often more the pain and destruction felt of not letting go of the past, or past habits. At it's worse it can be literal death, but it can also mean dangerous addictions. You need to clean yourself up and walk forward, one achingly slow step at a time. You may also be experiencing a mourning, but you shouldn't. You can be happy and still hold a place, person, or such dear. Remember the good times and celebrate their life, not their ending. If you're fearful of death, this could be a wake up call that death spares no man, woman, or child. Live your life to the fullest and enjoy what time you have. This could also relate to a long string of bad luck that never seems to end.

The Hanging Man - 12 -

The Hanged Man - 11 -

Suspension, Limbo, Alternative view, Letting go

Self-sacrifice, Tied up, Indecision

The man in this image is chained to a beam above the underworld. His arms arm tied by the vines, signifying an earthly connection. The sun behind his head is the heavens shining through the stained glass window beset in a stone wall. What people don't fully realize with this card is that this is his own doing. This can be a form of self-sacrifice or forsaking oneself or one's needs for the greater good. You may be asked to do this in your life or to let go of something, but you'll receive better. This pose is what the decided to be in, so you're likely needing a new perspective of some type. Just try thinking out of the box, or on your head. (ha!) Once looking at the situation or problem from another view point, you will be able to make a better decision or have a better understanding. In less literal terms, the hanged man can mean being caught up or delayed in a way, or should be. Take a time out and let things rest before rushing in. New and better options may present themselves, or just a better way of handling the situation. It could also be that you're stuck in life, but instead of fidgeting and getting yourself into even more of a knot, take a deep breath and relax. Wait it out. Open up to new experiences. Surrender. Accept the circumstances and allow them to happen, for now.

Reversed

The sacrifice you have given is returning nothing. Everything has been put on hold because of issues effecting you both internally and externally. It feels as if you're unable to move in any direction, but this lack of movement is due to a major change about to bulldoze through your life. This can also mean that you're arrogantly putting off a decision hoping it will work itself out, but it won't. Your own lack of movement can be a problem. The issue is still there, probably getting worse, and it still needs you to do something about it if you like the outcome or not. You could've lost your own way, religiously or emotionally, and can't seem to find your way to the greener side. You must accept the inevitable, change what you can, and try your best to find happiness.

Justice - 11 -

Justice - 11 -

Balance, Law, Equality, Legal Matters, Truth

Dishonesty, Unfairness, Criminal, Lack of accountability

While in traditional tarot, justice is usually blindfolded to show impartiality, in this deck they use the scales with diamonds and a feather. Both hold the same weight and therefore are equal in her eyes. The cards falling from her hand are the reversed hanging man (indecision/water), queen of wands (determination/fire), eight of swords (restriction/air), and the ace of pentacles (new business/earth). Each is a facet of justice and also an element. There are both good and bad and we must deal with them throughout life. Without both, this simply isn't a fair world. In literal terms, the Justice card can mean a court ruling in your favor. This card calls for the utmost fairness, even if it's not in your favor. Take a step back and look at the situation from an intellectual perspective where you can make the best decision. You are the judge, but can you make this right? Be truthful and honest with yourself and others. Playing fair will give everyone a positive outcome.

Reversed

Either someone in your circle or you, yourself, are being dishonest. There is a sense of superficial belief or it's always your way or no way, removing the availability for justice to preside. This can also be a literal interpretation of an unjust ruling, jail time, or a ticket. It could be a clouded mind not passing fair judgement. It could even be that life and the universe are seemingly dishing out unfair trouble. If the path is becoming too difficult, take a break, but be sure that you're headed in the direction you're going for a reason. You could also be a very black and white kind of person. This card is meant to tell you that sometimes in life there is a little grey or a splash of color, and doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Let loose and try not to be so rigid. Try to get back in touch with that human part of yourself.

Wheel of Fortune - 10 -

The Wheel of Fortune - 10 -

Cycle of life, a turning point, good luck, major changes, destiny

Losing control, Fate-run, negative forces or bad luck

In this image you see the wheel of the year represented by the twelve zodiac sigils as a working gear with three smaller gears inside. The top one, the planets, the bottom right is the elements, and the bottom left is the pentagram, the symbol of the pagan faith and spirit. These three gears turn each other working in tandem, turning the larger gear, all playing their part in the greater mechanism of life. Lightly, in the background, you find the multitude of mathematical equations of circles and movement. You'll also notice this image is in the heavens showing that fate is still very much a part of our lives and that somethings may be out of our reach. The lesson in all this that there is a way we  can take hold of our fate and make our lives function. Yes, there must be balance to make it run smoothly, but we can effect how well oiled our machine is. There will be problems that need fixing, there will be a need for maintenance, and there will be days when things run better than others. But such is life. Be excited for the good days, and be prepared for the bad. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction, remember, so plan ahead and don't let the Gods make all the decisions for you. You must be an active participant. When dignified, this card symbolizes holding onto optimism for greater things are coming your way. A change is in the making, so be ready and enjoy it as best as you can. Try to think positively and that something good will come out of anything bad that happens. This can also represent something of a karmic reaction in your life. Make sure and work towards that outcome being a good one. You reap what you sow.

Reversed

Reversed this card is the same meaning, just for the wrong reasons. You're having bad luck. You're life is significantly changing for the worst. Possibly losing touch with one of these gears and it's causing your machine to gunk up. Maybe an oil change is in your future so you can get back to owing your fate. Its feeling as if everything is out of your hands, but it's not. If anything, your inactivity or poor choices have brought this change into your life. However, good news is in there. Remember that without these bad times, the good ones wouldn't be so damn good. You wouldn't appreciate them nearly as much, so take a deep breath and think of what you can do to rectify or alter your outcome. Make your own fate. Watch out with dealings, as they may sour, and try to find a way out of them with the least amount of loss.

Hermit - 9 -

The Hermit - 9 -

Solitude, searching, guidance, and introspective

Isolation, loneliness, and detachment

While this card is typically dreaded, it is actually a good pull. When we think of a person who has mastered something in life, they're usually older, hence the aged man with a long white beard. What this truly stands for is a person who has achieved a great goal and mastered it. He stands above those a teacher and is looking back at the city as a leader more than turning his back on society. The mountain is showing his path to the top of his league. His age is due to his struggles and the time he has put into it, his seeming loneliness is just him proving to be the better as there can only be one at the top. However, you see that he is indeed not at the very top showing that there is still more to learn. The star in his lantern is lighting the way, guiding him forward and giving something for other's to follow, for he now the teacher of those below. His beard is to show is wisdom and knowledge. When you draw this card, it's telling you to look inward, maybe take a trip away, to get a better understanding or deeper knowledge of a subject. Step away from the constant of day to day life and contemplate life, your actions, principles, and what motivates you. There is an itch to start anew and this card is urging it, but only if it leads you to the truth you're searching for. And what is that truth? Unfortunately, this is often a destination you must reach on your own, so solitude and shutting out may just have to happen. This could also mean to choose those close you carefully. You're above most and should only speak with those who assist in your enlightenment. It can also be said that you have attained a greater spiritual level and are someone that others look to to help them find their own.

Reversed

This can mean one of two things. Either you have been isolated too much and need to reconnect with the world around you, or you haven't been taking enough time away and need to reconnect with your inner spiritual self. If the latter, you should rejoin the working world. Peel back the curtains, stop ordering delivery and amazon, and phone a friend or family member. You may start to be feeling alone or forgotten, but remember you're not. While this card does say the journey to the top is often a long, lonely way doesn't mean that some social activities are out of your league or not a good idea. You still need that outside connection for a healthy, well-rounded growth. If you're too much of a busy-body, slow down, maybe take a holiday and shut off the phone. If you can't, take some time everyday to shut yourself away. You need to reconnect with your spirit and remind yourself why you're here and what your deeper purpose is. If you're in a relationship it could mean you or your partner are shutting themselves off from the relationship, or at the worst, may be trying to shut the other off from the outside and occupying all of their time or simply not allowing the other to see friends and family. If you're single, you're hurting for a relationship and that one on one human connection with another person on a deeper connection.

Strength - 8 -

Strength - 8 -

Strength, patience, compassion, demonstrating control

Weakness, lacking control, ignorance, anger

In this depiction of Strength we see the traditional female figure with a "tamed" lion. The woman is there to show that there is more than muscle when speaking about a persons strength and the lion here is actually being assisted. There is an age old story about a lion who steps on a thorn that causes him great distress, but it is too small to be pulled out by him. A smaller jungle dweller happens by him and offers his help, but only if the lion will not eat him. Admitting he needed the creature's help, the small savoir removes the thorn. The lion thanks him profusely and, true to his word, leaves the creature alone to live out his life. Here we see that strength is also admitting when we need help, to let go of our pride and take assistance without shame. It could also refer to the usual prey, the woman in this instance, has inner gull and compassion to step up and offer help even in the eye of danger to its own person, but knowing this is what's necessary and a person's life, or a lion's comfort, is in danger. We can also read it as saying that help may come from unexpected places or that our strength will be needed in an unexpected way. Even in the original the placement of the arms and hands have a meaning, the left is holding the paw while signifying mental strength, and the right is what pulls out the thorn showing physical. She is unarmed and completely at the mercy of this large predator, but so is the predator. It's a show of balance and equal reliance on each other to survive. Above them, we see the infinity sign throwing back to the Magician, showing a need of power, resourcefulness, and knowledge of the situation, grasping it and using the skills you have learned so far to push forward. While the Chariot is mainly exerting outer strength, this card is focused mainly on what's on the inside; our mind, emotions, heart, and spirit, and how to utilize them to overcome all that life has to throw at you. This can also mean that you're taming your own inner lions and are coming out a stronger person. That you're developing a higher consciousness and are willing able to take responsibility of all that you do and use that to help your own life and others'. You could also be exerting or finding your confidence to assert yourself as you or be telling you to release that self-doubt. You will endure. You will overcome. You are strong.

Reversed

This could mean that you're allowing yourself to be the prey of your own self-doubt or weakness. Don't be victim to your subconscious and remember that you are better, you are worthy, and you are the epitome of strength. Maybe you're suffering from a setback in life, the punches are seeming to keep on a-comin'. You need to remind yourself that this is temporary! Everyone's arms get tired and you should focus on the positive in your life because even when there is something going so terribly wrong, there are often many things going so even more wonderfully right. Rebuild your self-confidence and esteem and try again or go another way. You conquered this jungle king once before and you will again. Instead of looking to other people's strength to raise you up, you need to start making your own. Meditate on what makes you wonderful, what you're good at, and what you can lend to the world to make it that much better. This could also be read that you are in a bad place mentally and emotionally, lashing out in anger, losing control, and are reacting instinctively instead of being proactive or compassionate. You need to find an outlet and regain that control. Relationship wise, you could be relying more on this person to define you than what is healthy causing you to doubt yourself as well as them, and make you anxious or overly protective as if they or someone else would take it away.

The Chariot - 7 -

The Chariot - 7 -

Diligence, willpower, control over self, victory

Loss or lack of control, unknown direction, aggressive

In the steampunk version you see the traditional six pointed stars on her umbrella. These stars represent our connection with the spirit. The two mechanical horses are powered by the steam of sheer willpower. She stands confident and ready for whatever fight she heading towards and will come out ahead. You may not at first notice the goddess symbol at her forehead. It leads her divinely. This card also stands for triumph and overcoming obstacles by controlling the situation with your inner (or outer depending on circumstance) strength, determination, and hard work. You will be victorious. So long as you keep focus you will obtain your goals and any hardship or struggle endured will only make you stronger. Grab the bull by the horns, be bold, and pursue your plans at this time. Another meaning for this card is travel, of course, but usually by the road, like car, train, or bike.

Reversed

Reversed this card can mean being dragged through the life uncontrollably. Fate has toppled you and taken the reigns. You're worrying things are spinning out of control when you should be focusing on what you can take care of. Put your energy into reclaiming little parts of your life first, and then tackle the larger ones as they come. Focus on finding a direction for your life. You could also feel like you're cracking under pressure or losing self-control. Your anger is turning into aggressive outburst and they're taking a toll yours and other's around you. Maybe YOU'RE the one with the control problem and need to lighten up or take a step back. It's fine to let another make choices sometimes. It could be that you've lived under another's foot and seek greater control in your own life. You're wanting independence and crave the confidence to start making your own life decisions instead of taking the advice or being under the guidance of others.

In the card itself you see the angel above the couple blessing the union. The couples are happy and seem to be bringing two worlds together, as depicted in the two different styles of lighting behind the man and woman. The business, more industrious side that usually represents the hard working man in a traditional role and the tree behind the woman showing her cultivating, or nurturing, side. There is a balance between them and the workload they each must now take on. The angel appears to be coming from a smoke, which is representative of air; communication. Even in this normally dark and dreary set of Tarot, you can sense a warmth coming from the couple and you notice how the sun seems to shine down on only them. The card itself represents everything to do with love, marriage, or dating. It's the expression of that bond that forms between two people strengthening each other and encouraging that growth of confidence and safety together. They can overcome anything hand in hand. It is also the sexual feelings and acts that come with being together and feeling comfortable in your skin while sharing each other in the most intimate of moments. This could also deal with just one person finding themselves, their values and wants in life, and what your personal beliefs are. Find You and be You no matter who that person is. Self love is the first step to finding true love. There is also a deeper meaning to this card. It could indicate something seriously life altering (much the way a marriage does) and you must choose the right path. However, take special care to examine all possibilities, as the easy way may not be the best and the roughest path may prove to be far more of an adventure into your true self. There may also be something that feels like a tough decision, but it'[s definitely a blessing in disguise, so take a deep breath and go for it. This is because your personal values (that you may still be developing) are being challenged in some way.

Reversed

There is a chance that a love is turning into more of a obsession. Take a step back and reevaluate what this person is to you. Do you really love them? Are they making you a better person? Are they aligning with your personal beliefs and life goals? If not, then walk away. You could also be finding yourself as an object of the obsession or even be dealing with a partner more possessive than loving. If this is the case, then break it off. It can get ugly if you don't, and it may even be ugly when you do, but it's for the best. In this way, it could also mean that one person is simply more invested in the relationship than the other, which will always lead to disappointment in the end. There's no need to force something that isn't there. Maybe there is some kind of an affair already happening or the temptation of one. Beware of this. The temptation can also be for many other issues in your life, like taking the low road, compromising your self and values, a grass is greener on the side type of problem... Look to the surrounding cards before jumping to conclusions on this particular aspect. There may also be a case of not wanting to deal with responsibility, like children, or simply owning up to your actions. It can also mean an inner battle or even disharmony, dissatisfaction, or an unbalance in your relationship. Work on the communication, talk it out, even if it's something you feel you are doing to yourself. You're in this together, so relying on and helping each other is a fundamental part of the relationship.

The Hierophant - 5 -

The Hierophant - 5 -

New religion or way of thinking, being a teacher or taught, conformity, following the rules, being part of a group

Rigid, abuse of position, cults or false worship, restriction, rebellion, losing yourself and/or control

The Hierophant, or the High Priest, usually means a new way of thinking or living, either religiously or in a philosophical way. Maybe you've recently learned something new, taken an eye opening class, developed a new interest, or joined a new religion. Whatever it is, it will change your life and for the better. It's opening you up a side of yourself you didn't know before and is filling a void you once had. In the above image you see a large pile of books next to an elderly man. This symbolizes understanding and a well learned individual; usually a teacher or someone in a position of influence. This is also amplified with the young children at his feet and him in a chair. It could mean that you are the one influencing, or that you are being led. In traditional decks, this would normally be a Pope figure equipped with a cross and religious robes, but some decks have abandoned this view as it can relate to any instances where someone is a leader and there are followers. When you pull this card it could also mean that you're a rule follower, you don't step outside of the box because the confines of the box have always worked and suited you. Instead of looking for a new approach or thought, you would simply change yourself to make it work, or someone in your life is this way and it's best to just follow. There is a time meant to stay in line and a time to forge your own path. It can also mean that you need such structure in your life and that the boring trappings of such will only make your life easier. Or you could be out of touch with your religious side and need to find something that speaks to your on a spiritual level.

Reversed

You are being stifled by conformity and it's making you lose control and your own self by being forced to follow the rules. You should be questioning status quo or you're feeling as if you need to rebel and break free. You've been following the crowd for so long that you forgot yourself and are now waking up wondering if any of this is even what's best for you. This traditionally means you are the child in this situation, or someone who is being led, and you're rebelling or stepping away from the group. You can be criticized for this choice, but that's fine, you don't believe in the religion or the rules/teachings are hurting you more than helping. Leaving it behind and finding a new way will be healing and beneficial. However, this could also indicate you or another person are running things with an iron fist. It's your way or the high way, and any outside idea or opinion is flat out wrong. This can be a rigid idealism or way to go about things and its poisoning your flock. There is also the chance that you've fallen into the wrong crowd and are being led astray, lied to, and are starting to become a hive mind, like a cult. Or there could be a possibility of a closing of schools, groups, religious organizations, or workplace.

The Emperor - 4 -

The Emperor - 4 -

Fatherhood, analytical, systematic, authority, leader, your boss, a promotion

Control freak, a weak or cruel man, abusive physically, emotionally, or with power, lawlessness

This stoic man sits in his throne with keys and the elemental pyramids carved into the metal. He is the symbol of balance, order, neatness, and law itself. His hands folded over his stomach gives chance that he is not so hard, but is willing to listen if you have a good enough reason for your actions. This could be you, being in control or being given control in the form of a birth or promotion/new position at work. Maybe you're about to become the sole head of a household, but it's nothing you can't handle because you're built on confidence and authority. You are the provider and protector of your loved ones. You've experienced it all and have the answers to pass down the generational line. This card is one that signifies sticking it out until the end and working hard to attain your goals, so it could easily be said that your ideas and efforts will manifest monetary gain and accomplishments. It could also mean that you should let your emotions take a back seat and allow your mind to make all the decisions because this can affirm your confidence, self control, and focus, but be ready to impress!

Reversed

This could indicate an abuse of power. Someone is dominating in the wrong way or overly rigid. It's his way or the highway. This could be you, your father, partner, or a boss, but it's almost always a man who is insecure and feels the only way to make a name or have respect is by throwing his weight around. This card can also mean you yourself is feeling powerless. Don't rebel from the status quo, though. No pickets are necessary. Instead, get in touch with the Emperor side of yourself and try to handle this situation logically, not emotionally. Maybe you need to leave a bad relationship, cut the cord, or start a new job. Why not get a little creative and start your own company? When discussing work, it could mean that you need more flexibility or independence; somewhere you can let your creative side out. Personally, this could be talking about you're inability to handle authority, be saying to end your ambition, or warn about a lack of self-control. End the chaos and find some order. When talking about relationships, this could signify abuse or a partner making you unhappy by being overbearing and possessive. This is becoming toxic and you need to either find your footing in the relationship and take back some control, or leave before things get dangerous. These are signs of a bad relationship brewing and it's eating at your freedoms and possibly your very self.

The Empress - 3 -

The Empress - 3 -

Motherhood, love, elegance, beauty, harmony, abundance, nurturing, successful

Laziness, stagnation, wasted effort, problem within the home or relationship

Depicted here is a pregnant woman on silk sheets. Completely relaxing in luxury, beautiful and still powerful. On the pillow at her feet is the symbol of Venus, the feminine rune, because she is the ultimate female, full bellied and lovely. Her crown connects her to the mystical realm of fae and magick, which is where she gathers her power she's holding in her hand. She is still dangerous, so don't underestimate her even in such a fragile state. When you draw her, she is telling to to embrace for womanhood, or feminine side. Get sensual using all of your senses and don't worry about spoiling yourself. Take a day to dote on yourself and reconnect with who you are or find new ways to creatively express yourself. Find a new band, write something, draw, sing, or create a dance that lets it all out or just find a new hobby to love. This could also indicate a pregnancy if its accompanied by the Ace or Page of Cups or the Four of Wands. If the Ace of Wands shows up, then it could mean just the birth of a new idea, life path, or something equally changing. If you're already a mother or father, it could be pushing you to open communication with your children on a deeper level; become more nurturing, a better guide through life, or just grow closer to your kids. If you're planning a trip or have some time off, maybe you need to reconnect to the Mother Earth. With other earthy cards, you could use some time camping, hiking, or just spending a little while outdoors.

Reversed

This card could meant that you're denying yourself by relying too much on other's opinions or emotional or material needs. You're feeling confused about a current relationship and have lost sight of the direction its going. You're not having a chance to be heard or to properly express yourself. You need to find someone, a friend or close family member, to share these feelings you've bottle up with. You're doubting yourself and your feelings and you should probably take a day or so to work things out with yourself. If you don't love you, then how will someone else be able to so properly?  Are you having problems conceiving? This card could mean infertility, or even an unwanted and unplanned pregnancy. It could also be an indicator that YOU are being overly protective or mothering your partner and it's putting a strain on everything. Step back and let them make some decisions. Generally speaking, you could just be missing something in your life and so you're more disconnected with yourself, having a creative block or just denying yourself better treatment. In the worst meaning, it could indicate depression or simply a negative mood looming over your head due to being overburdened. Try to relieve your stress before moving forward. Take a warm bubble bath, listen to soothing music, get out of the house and turn off your phone. After feeling looser, then you can follow your inner self and realign.

The High Priestess - 2 -

The High Priestess - 2 -

Listen to your gut, Inner self, Mystery, Wisdom, Deeper Knowledge

Closed off, Lack of intuition, Gossip, Secrets, Disconnect with femininity

She stands symbolizes truth, serenity, and understanding. There is something off about her though. she withholds a kind of intuitive knowledge that is meant to be taught, but not used to control, the true depth of reality depicted between Solomon's Temple pillars. She is the gateway to that mystery we ask for in the cards, her crystal ball the mirror into a higher knowledge we so elude with the Goddess symbol front and center. She is that spiritual enlightenment, divine knowledge, and wisdom. The gears on the pillars pull back the curtain, the veil of awareness, to allow entry to those who are worthy. She is there to teach you that you should listen to your inner voice and pay attention to your dreams. What areas of you life need more attention or fixing? Take time to meditate or just to relax in a quite place and let the answer come to you. Your inner self already has the answers, to open up to them. For males and females it could also mean to get more in touch with their feminine side, feel your emotions or you may fail. You're denying your more emotional and intuitive side.

Reversed

You're ignoring your inner voice. Switch it back on and take time to meditate. It may take longer to come to you because you're out of practice. Stop trying to solve your problem and take a time out. Again, she already has the answer and is trying to reach out to you to tell you. You could also be very reliant on the opinions of others and need to learn that in the long run they don't matter. Your opinion and feelings are what make you, not the ever changing people in your life. Find what makes you unique, yourself, and embrace it.

Another meaning is that you're learning occult on a superficial level or just to be popular. It could also indicate gossip, hidden agenda, or issues under the surface. Demand the truth and don't allow others to keep secrets from you.

The Magician - 1 -

The Magician - 1-

Success, Power, Knowledge, Creativity, Bringing to Fruition, Skill, Resourcefulness

Manipulation, Greed, Untrustworthy, Mental Confusion, Not Using Potential

The Magician was given the number one because he bridges the gap between the spirit world introduced in the Fool and the now living world. He has finally manifested the change in the physical world he's been studying for and making it real. All of his discipline and practice is paying off. He represents the true magic in the physical and that it's time to start to creating your own in your life. Know what it is you're manifesting and use your very best skills and the connection you still have with the universe to make it happen. Above his head is the eternity symbol and all four elements are present in his work space meaning that each element is at your will. With such a can-do attitude, any desire you seek is attainable and the ability to grab it and make it happen will be given to you if you only look; think creatively. What ever endeavor you wish to start will come about positively. Being sure of your intention is key, though. Make sure you fully understand what it is you're wanting to do. Knowledge is power and this card is all about both.

Reversed

This man is deceitful and a con, especially if the Devil is present in the spread. He's using his knowledge and resources for wrong doing and negative means.Though charming, it's for all the wrong reasons and he is rarely who he represents himself to be. If the Moon is near, then there is also a self-deceit, or illusion effect that you're under. You could be out of touch with reality and need grounding. You need to turn back to the Fool and reexamine the problem at hand from a fresh point of view. Take a deep breath and make a plan. In another sense you could be letting your talents go to waste or feel your true potential isn't being met and that you are wasting away. Was a dream career? A hobby you love more than your day job? Did you switch paths because of life or other reasons, but still think about that one thing you're ridiculously good at; a natural born talent. Find a way to get back to that path and your life will improve. This also applies spiritually.

The Fool : Friends will assist you when the work is evenly distributed and you seem like its a goal based more on fun and experience, than getting ahead of everyone else.
Temperance : Working selfishly to help OTHERS reach their goal.

Three of Wands : Your goals or other life occurrences will come out in your favor. Great blessings are on the way.
